Crouched a solitary soul
Weeping over its slavery
Intruded by a flutter
Sighted a wailing canary



Healed it with love
Gave it wings to fly
Released it then and
Watched it soar into the sky


Impressed she came, and gifted it
Strength, courage and perseverance
Stood she and flew over the horizon
To conquer a world thought to be men’s

You know how people say you should talk if something is bothering you. Well, something is. I am at a stage where everyone I see around me is trying to be cool in some or the other way and to be honest, I am not very cool about it.
